The reason why I wanted to dive into this topic is because of all the research that was required to even get started. Because of how niche of a hobby this is, sometimes finding information can be extremely difficult. At the beginning of this hobby, I found myself very hesitant to do/buy anything. Building your own keyboard can be very expensive and the last thing you want is to break an expensive piece that can take months to arrive. While I won’t be telling you step by step I feel like an overview can be enough to start. Who knows, maybe you will end up buying or building one too.
For as long as I can remember I loved games. This only escalated when I got my first personal computer. For as long as I can remember, I’ve spent a majority of my time on my computer. Whether it’s gaming or learning you can probably find me doing something. When you spend all this time on your computer you tend to want to make your setup as comfortable as possible. In this process, I ended up stumbling on mechanical keyboards and boy did I get hooked. Does it make you better at games? No. Does it make you sound cooler while you lose? Yes.
