As a big advocate for ten dollar Amazon keyboards I couldn’t understand why anyone would be willing to spend more than eighty dollars on a keyboard… until I did. When I mean you can customize everything I mean it.

The difference between a regular keyboard and a mechanical one is what lies underneath the keycaps. Mechanical keyboards have something called a switch whereas a regular keyboard has something called a membrane. The membrane is a solid unit that acts like a pressure pad whereas a switch is its own solo unit with its own unique feeling. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to mechanical keyboards.
